We don’t just have the same name in common, I am also a mother and grandmother. My eldest granddaughter is preparing her son for his first holy communion and came to me for help. She said ” I am hopeless at answering his questions. I have been away from church for so long.” I am over the moon. She is the only one, the other grand children and children have left. It is the first glimmer of hope that I have had. I will pray for the same for you. God bless Maureen Green
Our entire church is in such need of volunteers for teaching CCD, you don’t need anything but a heart to help! Start with being an assistant, blessing will follow and then your confidence will build and you become a teacher, taking back what satan thought he could claim because of his cunning ways!🕊❤️🩹🙏
Thank you Maureen for your reply! I went to a school called St Monica’s. Our blazer pocket displayed praying hands with the words, “Pray and Persevere” embroidered around them. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised more & more the meaning of those words! St Monica prayed for years for St Augustine, her son, & looked what happened to him!!! As a normally positive person, I would usually give comment to enthuse. Being an avid listener and contributor to talk-back radio over a long period, I now refuse to partake in that medium. A radio station in Victoria allows callers to use the Lords name in vain. In agreement with you Bruce, I have been saying for quite some years now….sadly, it is a secular world in which we are living.

I can tell you now, that many people have left churches and religious institutions, because of the behaviour of some prominent leaders. There are many people out in the community who still have great faith in GOD and our Lord Jesus, but they do not have faith or trust in those who seek to lead us. There have been so many exmples, where those in leadership roles have betrayed the congregation, or if you like, betrayed the sheep of GOD’S flock. Silence or lack of action when evil things were reported, have turned people away from churches.

Hello Bruce. please pray for me & the Archdiocese of Cincinnati as we transition to the ‘Beacons of Light’ formation in which individual parishes are merging together to become ‘families.’ It’s a 5 yr. process in which there will be church closings. Many people are disturbed & in some cases angry. Help us to be filled with the Holy Spirt to be ‘beacons of light’ to those who see only darkness. In the name of the Father, and of the Son & through the Holy Spirt. Amen 🙂

Bruce remember even though there is an exodus from the church, sixty-seventy years ago families, especially Catholic families, happily had large families. With birth control and abortion large families are much fewer and there simply not enough people to fill large churches. Sad but true.
