What I heard today Bruce “Happy are those who CONSIDER the poor …” – in your consideration of the couple you described, the standout difference seems to me to be that you simply recognised and acknowledged the source of their predicament and helped them. So many would have exchanged the word “judge” (as unworthy of help because they were somehow responsible for their position) for “consider”. Considering is what we are asked to do, judging is (in my view) for God.
