when you say, ” Listen to God’s voice within you and hear what He is saying to you”, how do you know its God and not fear or ego? Could you please answer this for me as I am going through changes in my life and I am not sure if it is really God speaking to me or other feelings? Thanks.

Who is first in your life? This is a question put to me by a Pastor of a Church. I gave him the answer but before I say it here I must say this. The Jews say, when a man and woman get married it is two souls becoming one soul before God. So it was in the Garden of Eden and so it is still today for the Christian. I said to that Pastor, “God”. He asked the question again and again my answer was the same, “God”. Then I explained why, my wife and I, being married are… Read more »

So beautiful! I was told this by a newly ordained Priest while going to instruction to become Catholic before we got married! That was 54 years ago! Still going strong, wanting the best for each other and becoming the best person He designed us to be as a couple and individually! We pray for each other every morning and still serve in the church together! A wonderful life with Him in the center!????

Just to add, thank you Bruce, I have not heard such teaching as yours for many years, you have refreshed the heart of this older man and my spirit is lifted high.
Thank you.

Thank you Bruce for reminding us who is central, who comes first in our lives. It is easy to say God but putting what we say day in day out, 24/7 can be a challenge. Especially if your spouse does not agree with you Bruce! And you are so right about some Catholics thinking that going to Church, and spending maximum one hour a day, if that doesn’t get in the way of other things in life, for reflection and personal prayers as well as praying the Holy Rosary is enough. God bless you Bruce, as always a great message!… Read more »

Thank you Bruce for asking “What is Central to my life?”. For me, I am grateful daily for my health, the essentials to life (food and roof over our heads, the Lord guiding me), our family and our friends. Guide me Lord, to be a positive contribution to this time on earth to others. Amen.

Bruce mostly reads from the NRSV Bible and sometimes uses other translations to help people understand or to explain different things.

Create for me a pure heart O’ Lord:

help me O’ Lord to control my impure thoughts

ask and it shall be given; the problem is that we expect an immediate response.

Time is meaningless to God so today ,tomorrow, next week next month does not apply.

Rest assured God will reply when we least expect him to meanwhile we must remain faithful and live with hope and with the love of God with all our heart and mind.

The root cause of our sins is the devil himself. He deceitfully attacks our heart and mind using the weapon of impure thoughts

.We must learn to master and control these wrongdoings.

I pray : O ‘ Lord my God keep me from all blight of error and corruption in my conflict with the power of darkness, protect me from the snares of the enemy and all adversity and guide me to a holy life Amen.

Hi Julia, is it possible your emails have a setting on so that videos and pictures don’t automatically download. Many do so that the emails load up faster? Please let me know how you go as I can offer further suggestions that may help you. God bless you in this holy season!
