Thank you for teaching us about God. I am so in love with him and I try to think like him before I do anything. You give me that reassurance I need to keep in his way. I wish I had more to give to help many more. God bless you 🙏🙏🙏

Hello Brice I really enjoy your daily devotionals but it feels so removed from what is happening now in the world. Perhaps because you are in Australia the Ukrainian war is not so prominent but I am seeing horrendous harrowing scenes of cities being bombed and vast numbers of refugees. Now chemical and nuclear weapons are being mentioned.I am reading via the Divine Mercy fathers of apparitions by Our Lady prophesying these events and asking for prayers by the world and a change of heart. I feel lost and I am struggling with this inhumanity on my doorstep. It is… Read more »

Hello Paula Thank you for writing. The tragedy in Ukraine is being very widely reported where I am. You cannot miss news of the war and it’s human toll. It is heartbreaking. Rosemary my wife and I pray the Rosary every day and have people join us around the world. We have been praying for the situation in Ukraine each day as we say the Rosary. To pray the Rosary with us you can go to TheCatholicGuy.com or BruceDownes.org We are currently planning to record, The Weekly, which is the Sunday Daily Devotional on the tragedy in Ukraine. I have… Read more »

Prayer is the answer! God will move mightily as we put our trust in Him! I can not be more thankful for the dear people in Poland who are being Gods hand and feet in this trial!

Hi Bruce You are so right! There is so much fear & anxiety around me regarding covid and the desperate plight of the people Ukraine added to the injustice and misery of the people of Syria and the people in the Congo, whom the world seems to have forgotten. It all seems to be revealing how far we have removed ourselves from God and how much imbalance in the world there is, but my thoughts and hope, also, return to what I was taught in my Catholic upbringing about the power of the rosary and prayer. It is what the… Read more »

I feel the same about this and pray constantly that it will end soon. It is so hard to pray for the evil one causing all this, but we must pray that his harden heart will turn to mush and he will change the way. Very, very hard to pray for the evil ones in this world……but with the rosary every day and Mass and constant prayer, we may defeat, but in God’s time

Hello Bruce, you say you read the comments so believe you, I have your how to pray book and love it. The only problem is how to do it with an alcohol addiction, I pray rosary every morning but afternoons are unreliable. I’m in Melbourne, don’t spend too much time but any advice would be appreciated. I’m happy, just carrying a heavy weight.

I believe that we do need to focus on God’s ways and thoughts. After all, isn’t that what guarding our heart is all about? If we don’t know God’s ways and thoughts our hearts will not have the peace of God that should be guarding our heart (Philippians 4) because we allow the anxious ways of the world to inform our thinking. Thank you for contributing to what God has been doing in my spirit. Where’s my focus? Thank you for helping me affirm its not about me or the world but God and what His word says to me.… Read more »

I first started listening to you last lent and learned so much more about my Catholic faith. This Lent, I have decided to write my prayers down as you suggested because I found my mind wandering and getting too distracted when I would pray. sitting down and writing out my prayer has helped so much. Thank you

Thank You Bruce. Question: When you end your presentation you say “God is not far from you”. Why don’t you say “God is with you”.

The messages you give on God’s heart of love and forgiveness speak to my innermost being. Literally causing my spirit or God’s spirit to warm and expand inside my chest as I consider your teaching. Your messages are so rich in the blessings of the Holy Spirit. I’ve spent 3 days in Psalm 51 alone. I am a practicing Christian but this Lenten Season is bringing healing to my soul.

My fervent prayer is that the Holy Spirit would touch peoples hearts to reach into their wallets and no matter how small the amount monthly to be a part of this ministry. To bring New Life to others is rewarding and so needed! I love the letters and comments you receive to give you the 🙌 that you and your team is making a difference in the lives of others, giving hope, joy and peace! Be blessed for your every endeavor to serve Him! The warmth and sincerity of your message is profound! 🕊

Hi Bruce! Thank you for your commitment in evangelizing the Word of God to as many people. Your work is an inspiration and I hope in my own little way I can also serve God by bringing more souls to Him. Right now I am out of work because I am taking care of my family but God has always been providing . So I am giving back even in a small amount God’s goodness by answering your call for a love offering to support your ministry. God bless you and your family more.

Dear Bruce, Thank you so very much for your teachings of Jesus and God the Father and Spirit. I’m married with three grown sons. I am the former DRE at the Parish and school where my children went to school from 1-12 grade. I have MS and other difficulties. I believe I have a strong faith…but I worry (which I know I should let go and let God…)for my husband of nearly 47 years and two of my three sons. I haven’t been to church, except for a few funerals, in two years, plus. Thank goodness for Mass on TV!… Read more »

Thank you Bruce for being a light in a dark world. Also thank you for giving hope in our beautiful church that is being torn by people who don’t love her or God and are trying to destroy her. I know they won’t win because God said he will never leave His church and the gates of hell will never t prevail. But we who are faithful need reminding of Gods love and forgiveness for His world.
💕💕💕thank you again Marie
