Can you please help us to understand how to go about forgiving someone like Putin?

We need to pray for Russia and it’s conversion as Our Blessed Mother revealed to us in the apparitions. With prayer comes forgiveness. God bless

I have heard many people question forgiveness. It appears to be a most difficult task when we’ve been wronged. I have prayed for my parents many years ago for their abuse. I have since then forgiven them and it opened up my heart to recognize only the good things they taught me. They are long gone and I miss them. As for Putin, I will continue to pray he will reconsider his terrible actions. I pray for the people of the Ukraine. God help them.

Thank you Debra. I too am praying that Putin will see the error of his ways and change his way of thinking. My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine and also the Russian people who don’t want yhis war. God please help them all.

Hi Bruce, a poem titled ‘This thing called Unforgiveness’ is in my little book of poetry ie. POAM:Prayers of a Mother’ which I sent you some time ago.I wonder if you have seen it.

Hi Bruce. Forgiveness. I sometimes wonder if I have forgiven, when the slight or injury, keeps cropping up in my memory bank. Here is a poem I wrote in my little book of prayer, one day when I was frustrated with myself and battling thoughts I did not want. Within I weep, I sob, I cry My heart hurts and I know why It aches for what I came to be Lack of love is what I see Lack of love, of faith, of hope too many times down slippery slope Forgiveness, I seek, evermore My soul feel’s bruised and… Read more »

Thank you for having these daily lent messages etc. I am enjoying them early in the morning when I arise. Your messages are giving me lots to think about my life and how I can change it for the better. I am still confused as to how to make it better. One day at a time. Thank you. Have a great day and keep safe.

You don’t forget, you learn and get better not bitter and develop a heart of gratitude to the Helper… the Holy Spirit. You know when you have truly forgiven because you can ask for Gods best for them! Now trust is a totally different thing! Jesus we trust in you Alone!!!

I have often wondered why Judus was not granted forgiveness. Would the soldiers have found Jesus without his help? I feel they would have. Why did Jesus have to be betrayed by one close to him? Peter was forgiven for his denials. Was it because he did not ask for forgiveness? Thanks for your daily lessons.

He was so broken by his betrayal that he killed himself…we really don’t know his last thoughts🤷🏻‍♀️ We’ll see!

I have truly pondered this as well! We have so much more insight into suicide then was conceived back then. Judas must have had utter despair…..that tells me he was heartbroken for what he did. I wonder what his last thoughts were.

Hi Mr Bruce I believe ur a God sent, I am a mother of two, I have been having it hard to forgive, I became a man in my life just to provide for my kids, I have never been happy in the past 3years night and day my head is busy with all those negative thoughts and thanks to the LORD am still kicking and have managed to keep my anger to my self and not to hurt anyone or to end up in a mental institution just for them. Hi Bruce, a t your Sunday teaching service your singers have often sung “I surrender…” I wonder if you could elaborate a bit on that. I am at a part of my life that surrendering happens frequently, just because of age and there is not much I can do about that. But I feel there is much more to the surrendering to God. Hope you find some scripture to explain. Thank you, Bruce.

If you actually forgive someone who has seriously wronged you, do you also have to allow them back into your life? Someone did something horrible, and I consider that person emotionally dangerous. Although I miss what could have been, the reality is that trust has been broken.
your thoughts?
thank you and God bless.

I Understand those words, i forgive and also say a prayer to help us for change and understanding, but may God help me thoughts, because after two years of the same habits , they have no change , But with Bruce keeping the path of prayer open, it does help , — but as they continue to lie and hurt, How to do want to be with them or around them any longer ,,,

I terminated a friendship of 50 years without any arguments or bad words because of their behaviour…….I had enough! but I always wish them well and never hated them, the friendship could not continue. I consider myself a decent Christian by forgiving and helping others…..I am sure God will forgive me.

Thanks for the context on talents. An inconceivable debt. I hope that with such understanding I will come to truly release others from the wrongs I believe they’ve done to me. I also pray in thanksgiving that God forgives me more times than I can imagine. I ask that He continue his patience with me, for there are some lessons that I never seem to learn and I fall short so often. From a non-Catholic who joins with my brothers and sisters in faith.

When you forgive , it gives you inner most joy, you feel light inside, though its not easy but the love and grace of God will always help us because without his grace, it’s very difficult to forgive, am happy to hear these words again and deeper, which encourages us to forgive, no matter what it’s. Heavenly Father help us to forgive so our own sins will be forgiven. Thank you Bruce

I love reading the comments and that you are receiving the thanks for all you do! Continued prayers that people give financially as that leads to reaching more people and takes that care off of you so you can focus on the message He wants you to give to reinforce all He has already done! So very important as He has done everything and we need to step up and do our part! You, Rosemary and the entire team get ready for a huge blessing for 100% obedience! God us so very good to all of us!!

Thank you. I just see the comment about forgiving Putin. Last month when we heard the Gospel telling us to pray for our enemies, our priest said to just picture that person and offer them up to the Lord. I have been doing that with Putin and keep praying that the Lord will solve this issue.

During Lent it seems that the devil just will not let go. I have been forgiven, but I fight with myself about forgiving my x-daughter-in-law. I have prayed and been to confession, but her hurtful ways with our grandchildren, still creep in. Being a mother-in-law is a very hard role.

Today’s teaching on forgiveness was amazing. Understanding what a talent is worth helps put this in perspective, something we do not always have. It also teaches us that we must learn to forgive others, something that I am guessing is not easy for many people to do. Forgiving others should be emphasized as a Catholic teaching, and perhaps have guidance provided on how we can do that. It seems like the focus is on God forgiving us, not us forgiving others. We need BOTH! Imagine if all of us forgave all the people that we currently need to forgive. Whay… Read more »

Dear Arthur, we mainly use the NRSV edition(new revised standard edition). It is the bible where Bruce gets all his scriptures from. If he uses a different translation for a purpose he will state what other translation he is using. Thank you for your question and we hope you are being renewed by the Lord this LENT. I thank you so much for really explaining God’s forgiveness. I have to admit that I still have issues with some wrong doings done in the past to one of my daughters by her uncle when she was younger. My relationship with my brother-in law has been greatly affected. Nothing really happened thank God but still I would never trust him alone with my grandchilde the female ones.So I will continue to pray about this to really forgive him. Thank you again for your insight and God bless you!!

Dear Bruce Thanks for this prayer on forgiveness. I know fully understand on how to forgive. Cause sometimes I forgive a person but I always have this pain in my heart and keep on thinking about all the horrible things this person has done. Even though I tried and prayed for forgiveness thinking why cant this person love me and be kind to me. Even though the person is deceased I keep on replaying all the past. Like Jesus said you have to forgive a person seventy – seven times. I will now pray with delegince for forgiveness for that… Read more »
