Bruce was a fabulous devotional today! I thank you. I have been struggling with how to forgive certain people. As you say for our own freedom we have to forgive, you have given me the strength and process to do this.
God is good🙏🏼

Thank you Bruce for this very important message about forgiveness!!! Forgiveness can be very difficult, I agree Bruce!!! Thank you for the insights as well as those three important tasks that are very helpful!!! I will be seeing this message again and take seriously these helpful tasks!!! I’d also like to share, that suppressing the wounds, as if the hurt never happened, putting it all behind I found, does not eliminate but actually festers and can cause trouble in our minds, our hearts as well as our bodies. Neither is taking revenge, getting even, taking anger out on others who… Read more »

I was going through something this week where someone hurt me and I just felt so much anger even when not talking to them anymore I couldn’t help but sit and dwell over the situation and like you mentioned relinquish. I would want to get them back so badly but the three things you have mentioned afterwards made me feel more better. You are right. Forgiveness does not mean reunion, reinstatement and forgetting but in order for me to not carry the weight and be free, I need to forgive. Thank you 🙏🏽

I think forgiveness is what I struggle with the most. It’s a few family members that I struggle forgiving, and what makes me sad is they are people that I had relationships with growing up, they’ve hurt people close to me and myself. I believe I have forgiven them, I have a relationship with them, but not like it was, trust seems to be my issue. But I will continue on this journey of forgiveness and it is a journey. Thank you Lord God, and your wonderful ministry for your love and guidance.

Thank you Bruce – I have been having issues forgiving someone. I keep saying I forgive them, but in my heart I haven’t. I want to forgive them, but they just keep being mean, but I know I have to forgive them. Thank you for letting me know this is a journey.

Thank you. Two takeaways today. Permission to fully forgive for me alone. And The need to turn my self hurts into strength and add my voice to theukraine sisters and brothers with prayer more than i have. Ukraine seemed completely hopeless to me until just now. Bonus is for the first time i feel my terrible sin is forgiven so who am i to withhold..

Bruce Last year I discovered these devotionals as Lent was beginning and it was TRANSFORMATIVE! I had been struggling with an incredible hurt for a few years and had not been able to let go of that hurt and FORGIVE those who had wronged me. That hurt and anger had festered inside me. Through these devotionals I found the courage to seek healing through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I spoke openly with a Priest who has deeply touched my life and I came away with a huge weight lifted and filled with Gods grace. I reflected on the FABRIC… as… Read more »

Thank you so much for today’s lesson on forgiveness. I prayed over each sibling and my dad over all the hurts in actions and words they have said against me . For each person, I prayed in the “Holy Now”. God was with me in my prayers so I know and feel it is done, it is complete! Sela!
I also prayed forgiveness over myself. I am now free! The chains are broken! Amen!

Thank you, this lesson is one I need to listen over and over too. I have un-forgivenness for my mother in law, who is a diagnosed narcissist and as such has created damage in her family to a multi generational degree. The lesson to go in the direction that God is calling me too, to forgive touch my heart. Truly, the family suffers by not forgiving, as we are the ones with empathy, and pain in the situation. The narcissist has none, by nature. 95 years old and still inflicting pain, Forgiveness is a must for me, as I am… Read more »

Very interesting. Clearly God’s forgiving us is based on our forgiving others. With God’s forgiveness, however, there is a reunion, because we are reinstated to right standing due to God’s forgetting our sin.
Is there a different standard then for human forgiveness vs. God’s forgiveness?
Thank You!
