I needed this today. I learned that i need to take a deep breath and be still. My journey is like no others. The discipline of keeping quiet, is ongoing. I cannot grow more deeply in my relationship with Him if I don’t have the trust in his direction for me. My friend is having end of life issues with her mother and i struggle with her ideas when i should be silent and prayerful for her and her Mom having gone thru it myself. I almost quit music ministry because I have been mourning my husband’s death. He died a year ago and I had a delayed reaction. My friend and also a music minister came over Monday night to practice for a funeral we are doing in the Bay Area in Northern California. Even in my old age, 66 years, I still find I need my Savior, as you said. I will eternally need Him. This lent has been a true pursuing! Thank you! I will be back, in time to music ministry!

Thank you Bruce… I appreciate your daily devotionals and I am actively working at spiritual maturity and following God’s will, but I am struggling with a personal relationship that has become toxic and I am so conflicted. I pray that God give me a sign or speak to me as to his will regarding this relationship but still feel what I think I should do is more what I want to do and not what God wants me to do. How do I know its God’s will and not just my desire?
