Fasting in the spirit requires the power of the Holy Spirit. I’ve always wanted to fast because I have seen the immense change it brought to people I know who fast. I consider myself a very prayerful person, though there’s still room for improvement, I also read my Bible regularly, but I could never fast. Until one day, while praying, I ask God to empower me to fast. I successfully completed a-21 day fast with water only and it was one of the most glorious days of my life. After that, I tried again to fast for only six hours… Read more »

Faith is the light within me given to me for the purpose of shining the glory of God to others. Your term faith builder took on new meaning. Also, faith precedes and abides in every part of what I think, say, and do—at least that is my prayer for today.

There have been some occasions when I believe I’ve experienced moments where my whole perception about circumstances and experiences that I was facing at the time changed. One particular occasion occurred while I was at Mass – I went in through the church doors with one viewpoint, knelt and asked our Lord “why me, why us” about a situation and not an hour later came out with a totally different viewpoint – ‘why not me, God has a plan for me and will never give me more than I can handle. This must be part of the plan. So I’ll… Read more »

I love the distinction between Faith and Holy obedience; the journey I continue to travel on towards this illumination of faith that is tangible with a spiritual intimate loving relationship with God. I long to be there in a much deeper way.

Very true Bruce…faith changes everything. When I realised Jesus was alive, through reading Mere Christianity, I asked the person who lent it to me what I should do next. She suggested I read the Bible and I pulled a face: but it’s so boring! She said to start with the Gospels and somewhat unwillingly, I did. What a surprise! It was wonderful! As I read, I fell in love with Jesus…and the words I’d heard many times before came alive!

Thank you Bruce for this very important message concerning what FAITH IS, what FAITH DOES and HOW FAITH IS TRULY A GIFT FROM GOD TO US!!! To experience the LIGHT OF GOD in our lives, can truly TRANSFORM US/ME!!! AND OUR LIVES…The LIGHT OF GOD IS TRULY MIRACULOUS!!! May the Lord keep blessing and inspiring your messages Bruce, to ENLIGHTEN US, to help us grow constantly more deeply in Love with our Loving God, and to bless and inspire Rosemary abundantly, as well as Emma with their Heart Messages, the pod casts and Rosemary’s Journal Jottings!!! This is my second Lent with Bruce. I am so grateful to have been introduced to someone who could draw me in differently than my many attempts at Mass. Each morning I wake and the daily devotional is how I start my day. Followed by journaling, reflecting and prayer. My prayer each day is that I grow deeper in love with God. I have experienced a lot of death this past year. I do not believe that I would be the person I am today, without this journey towards a richer faith and a better understanding of Gods Love for… Read more »

As a child I too did all the correct Catholic doctrine, school, church, sacraments, My experience was to say the least not warm and fuzzy.. It completely and erroneously shaped my faith. Several times thru my adult life I attempted to come back to my Catholic faith but felt very little connection. What impacted me this morning is what I have begun to experience thru finding this Ministry. It is slow like a new layer being revealed almost daily. I am finding the courage slowly to be the person God has waited 68 years for me to become. He never… Read more »

I would like to ask for prayers for my family. My daughter needs a job. Her husband has a reoccurrence of cancer and we are praying for his cancer to stay stable.
They have a son who is 16 and of course, needs his Dad.
I also ask for prayers for my other Grandson as he is a paramedic and could potentially be in harm’s way. Prayers for his fiancé as they are planning to get married this year.
Thank you so much for your prayers!!

This will be a tough Lent Season. My father-in-law is in the hospital with end stage dementia. His wife of 63 years is with him all day and early evening. My wife lives 1300 miles away, but I sent her there for 4 days. They are seeing something that they have never experienced with him being coherent for a moment and then a totally different person. He has a strong heart but that’s about it, he can’t stand, he can’t feed himself. My prayers everyday are for them and God’s Plan. I wouldn’t mind a couple of extra prayers for… Read more »

Dear Rick, yes we will pray extra prayers for him and his family(you included). My grandmother, who was a vibrant go-get-um lady up to the ge of 95 suffered with dementia progressively getting worse in the the last few years of her life. My mother spoke to me, just after a visit when I was not coping with seeing my grandmother like this. “That Nanna was not in any pain. That God was being gracious to her by allowing her to not suffer but also be purified more as she journeys to heaven, our final destination.” It comforted me greatly.… Read more »

Many prayers for peace and grace for your family. I lost my mom in July 2022 to this horrible disease. It is so hard and the tears were many watching her suffer. Jesus through Momma Mary brought us comfort as i prayed the Rosary with her and over her daily. She held onto her Rosary as it brought her comfort.❤️🙏🏻

A faith builder revelation from your Sunday message—the story of the paralytic being dropped through the roof to be healed by God. My son ended his own life because of an extensive period of addiction. My prayers had been consumed with requests for his healing. After his death I said to God, “But this isn’t how the story is supposed to end.” I heard the words Jesus spoke to the paralytic in a new way, “Take courage my son, your sins are forgiven.” Then “Which is easier to say your sins are forgiven or get up and walk?” I thought… Read more »

Dear Kay, My heart goes out to you and your son. I just want to hug you both. If this response is what your story does to me, what more does Our Heavenly Loving Father do for you and your son. Oh in my heart for I’m learning more of the Father’s heart for us, I know that Jesus has forgiven him and welcomed him into Paradise with him.So be at peace. The Fathers heart is full of LOVE for us. He is healed and whole. Thank goodness it is! One day I am looking forward to meeting your son… Read more »

How do I forgive myself for things I have done it is not like a horrible thing like murder or hurting someone physically but it is things I hurt someone’s heart I know some have probably forgiven me like my mom but I cannot forgive myself I pray to God and apologize again and again and ask him to forgive me but I still hurt and I cannot understand how I hurt other people like I did and what I did and hurt people that loved me so much? Help me to learn to forgive myself

Oh my.. Dear one you are loved … once you ask for forgiveness with a repentant heart you are forgiven forever .. His word is as far as the east is from the west… God does not remember it ,it goes goes into the sea of forgetfulness! Don’t ever again let satan rob you of the Love of God Almighty! Receive His forgiveness….that’s the reason for Jesus.. we ALL need a Savior! You only receive from God what you believe Him for!! Enjoy your new life Christ died for!!🤗

Dear Darlene, Know in your heart and mind that you are forgiven by God,if you truly asked for it and were sincere. God knows your heart and your intentions. The feelings sometimes take a bit to follow on from the knowledge. Every time it comes up you tell yourself no, I have been forgiven. The enemy is the one who tries to remind us that we are not worthy and not forgiven. No one is actually ever worthy, it is only through Christ dying on the cross for us that makes us worthy and to stand before the Father. Then… Read more »

Thank you Bruce. You turned the switch for me this morning for my conversion was confirmed when you spoke of your own. How lucky you were in having an encouraging priest mentor to stay with you till you recognized you were beginning to have a relationship with God. I am 74 today and this message is what had been missing all my life. I didn’t know how to have a relationship with God. My whole life was one of discipline where everything I learned or did was by rote. From a very Catholic family, lived directly opposite the church, went… Read more »

Let’s pray fervently for your son’s conversion of heart and understanding that God made him a blessed male. I will commit your son to my daily prayers.
