I heard the message “to each according to need” which, to me, is also a great way to deal with sibling rivalry, especially situations similar to that described by Bruce today – we had one child who turned the teenage years into a WHOLE new experience for us as parents and our other children. It affirmed not just our past actions but also how a current situation is being dealt with. What will I do? Keep on making the best decisions I can in the circumstances and saying “Your will be done”

I heard of GOD’s great and infinite love for us, his wayward children and realise that we fell far short of his pure and selfless love , when we were parenting. It challenges my reaction to situations, which I have often misunderstood What will I do? Well first to try and listen more closely to others, learn their body language, to understand on a different level, hopefully. Ah! If wishes were fishes, they would swim in the sea. But wish it were possible to go back in time with knowledge I have now, and try to do life better. Probably… Read more »

Thankyou Bruce for a most beautiful and powerful sharing today. I’m sure most parents can relate
to the story of the Prodigal Son. I’m sure God gave us this story to illustrate the depth of His
unlimited unconditional love for us. Your wonderful father has through you, shown us an example
for all parents to follow. God bless, you, Rosemary and team.

Thanks for the beautiful message this morning about God’s love. You got emotional talking about your Dad and I’m sure like me, many others, would have had a tear in their eye too.

Thank you Bruce for sharing, it brings home how we need to love selflessly and unconditionally through God. I hope, like your Father, I can show that pure love to my children so they can experience God’s love working through me.
What a wonderful, wise and humble man your Father was and now you are sharing his love with us. Thank you

Bruce, thank you for sharing this beautiful message of God’s love in such a compassionate way by relating what your dad said to you. This reinforced how God knows us individually and knows our needs. He knows when we need extra loving and attention. That’s absolutely astounding! What a wonderful Heavenly Father we have! My prayer is that I will not only comprehend this amazing love but become an instrument of God’s love to othere. Blessings to you and your team

Hello Bruce. I just want to acknowledge to you that your story of your brother and the obvious love you show towards your dad’s example and your brother, touched my heart in a very personal place. It helped me understand so much more how much God uses us even when we do not know that is what is happening. We are just responding to circumstances. , And how much God loves us, and protects us and all those we hold dear no matter what.

Hi Bruce, Every morning you open up with ” Its wonderful to have you with us” . Well it is even more wonderful for us to have YOU with us. You always seem to choose the right thing to say when it is what I need reminding of. A month or two ago I added my daughter to your prayer wall as she was struck by with cancer. Yesterday, she hung up on me when I suggested she might start praying. First she said there was no God and then that He gave her the cancer.! How is that for… Read more »

I will pray for you dear one, as being a mom certainly does have joys and at times great sorrows! 💔I will pray for your precious child also! We will ask for His miracle working power to change her way of thinking… we will intercede for her physical healing but spiritual and emotional healing as well as she is very deceived! 🙏❤️‍🩹

I remember as a young girl praying “Father I am lonely but I know I am not alone…”. You have a multitude of people praying for you needs and that of your daughters needs! Trusting Him to turn things around! Until then stay close to your church family… as imperfect as we are… we have pure hearts He gave to us to pray over and watch over each other!

Thank you Bruce for sharing with us your heartfelt example of the profound love of your Dad had towards his rebellious son, that relates so deeply to the story of the Prodigal Son. But even more, the similarity between his love towards his son and the Love our Heavenly Father has for each one of us!!! Bruce it is evident how much you love your Dad and miss him…I imagine your Dad being so closely loved by our Heavenly Father and your Dad lovingly looking down at you, praying for you and the ministry, to miraculously keep going further and… Read more »

I did not even begin to understand this until this moment. My single mom was that with three of her sons. In my heart I know I held this against her. I did not ever let her know that but I needed her too. My heart had not matured to the understanding of what was going on..until today.. I now know. Of course she loved me but they needed her more. They are all together now and I feel the love that was always there. PS I have cried more tears so far this Lent than in my entire life.… Read more »

Thanks Bruce for your beautiful story you shared with us today. So what I heard today was God Loves all of us the same; however, those who are not following God’s commandments, lessons, and those who hunger, need shelter, need help; God is going to reach out to them first because they do not see the Glory of God. If they knew God he would not have to teach to them about his Glory; they would be praying and trying to reach him deeper. Thank you for your great understanding of the Bible and God’s Love for us. You are truly… Read more »

Bruce, You touched my heart and got very emotional because in my family I paid so much attention to my oldest child and my youngest. My two middle children were independent so I didn’t worry about them. But I realized that I repeated history because when I was a girl my dad always paid more attention to the youngest boy . He couldn’t do no wrong and me and my sister were at times overwhelmed. God is love and he has an infinite love for us for me and family no matter what we do. God I pray for a… Read more »

It’s interesting how God uses a message to correct our thinking and path. I have a son that is dealing with addiction, a theft tendency, and mental health. It was enough, because of my health and schedule that I put him out of my house. Bruce, the story of your brother/you/dad and the prodigal son hit me hard. Sometimes as parents we forget that our kids aren’t the same or need the same thing. This message, so far has hit me the hardest since Lent started.

You are not alone. Please do not beat yourself up. GOD knows us through and through. We had a similar circumstance, not quite the same and we could have been more understanding.
Forgiving ourselves for things we regret is really hard. With the love and forgiveness of our Lord and GOD anything is possible

My Prodigal son passed away on April,12th, 2020. It was Easter Sunday. He had suffered from drugs and alcohol, but was clean and sober the last 5 yrs if his life. My older son, vwhom I call Servant of the Lord, couldn’t understand why I helped him so much. Many people feel tough love is best, but in this case, as Bruce has made me realize, Xavier needed more love, and I’m glad that I gave him more love. At the end of his journey, Xavier, was good with the Lord, having turned his life around. 🙏 Thankyou Bruce, for… Read more »

Thank you so much for being so personal with this story of the prodigal son. I have seen this from the perspective of the sibling and of the parent – two very different views. My parent view was more loving and forgiving.

We had a very worrying time with our 16 year old daughter, she went off the rails when her 19 year old brother died of cancer. She was angry with God, angry with the doctors. She dropped out of school, left home and moved into a flat with some other young people. She was doing all the things we don’t want our teenage children to be doing but all we could do was to be there for her and hope she will come back home. She got a job as a waitress in a pub, then a job cleaning in… Read more »
