Thank you Bruce for clarifying in this message today, what it means to be holy. I recall in the past when attending Protestant Churches, some would mention in the sermon that we who were seriously followers of Christ, were to be called saints. Not a term to be given to only those more outstandingly pious and heroically holy than the rest of us Christians. Bruce does holiness equate to saintliness in the Catholic Teaching? Last Christmas Eve I was taken To hospital by ambulance with a temp. of 40.8 deg. Following an Attack of cellulitis in my left leg, My wife Dorothy was following with my Medications and some clothes, toiletries’. She got to the Hospital grounds and had a stroke it affected her voice. She went into E.R. went and saw the Triage Nurse, and to wait for a Doctor to come out to check it out, I think I was prompted by The Holy Spirit I said that she had a stroke. I like that, to strive to be Holy; it is action from us both emotionally and spiritually. The physical part of us benefits from our holiness. I do not ask God to do everything for me, I, like a child who loves his/her father try to do things that will please his/her father. There was a runner in the twentieth century who liked to run fast because he felt God’s pleasure when he strived to run fast. Thank you again Bruce for opening the Word for us to understand. Edwin
