Hi Sina There have been numerous occasions in my walk with God over the years, where I have felt very disconnected from God. Sometimes it has been because of difficult and hard times that life takes us through. Other times it has been because of deliberate sin in my life, where I have turned away from God and other times I have felt disconnected from God for reasons I simply do not know and it is not because of anything I have done. These are, when I look back, some of the deepest and most powerful experiences of growth in… Read more »

Thanking Him for putting the desire in your heart! Ask and receive that your joy may be full! Get in a quiet place as Bruce directs, put on some praise music and just tell Him you need more of Him! Expecting to hear great news!!!

Many have reached out in prayer for me. I’m sure God will answer

I have not seen that book (Bruce’s book on prayer) . I probably should get my hands on it too.

Much appreciated.

Precious Jesus, through the intercession of your glorious Mother, please help Sina see that in the quiet of the day, that you are indeed, walking with her. That you are taking her hand and guiding her through the holy moments of her day, moments that she may not realize are happening. Holy Spirit, talk to her in her heart. She will know it is you because many times you shout to be heard and let her follow what you wish. Thy will be done. Thank you, Lord for listening and grant Sina peace.

Thank you for this Easter journey. I am loving the daily inspiration. I really was blessed also by Emma’s talk on Heartbeat about “Taking Up Your Cross”. It put a life challenge into perspective in a way that gives strength to endure and connected us together as we walk together on this journey with our Lord. Such a blessing.

Hello April

Yes Emma’s message was very powerful. I have had ringside seat so to speak into Emma and her husband Ronan’s journey through this. They are what I describe as holy people in their dedication to seeing Christ in the midst of their journey. I feel humbled by their journey. As for Hannah she is just beautiful.

I look forward to doing the daily devotionals with you.

God bless

This is my very favourite scripture passage. I love the way Jesus walked with his friends and they didn’t have a clue who this man was. I’ve envisaged that the disciples only recognised Jesus by the way he ate, ie perhaps by the way he held the food, or hesitated over the food, or other gestures, not in the actual exercise of eating.

Hi Karen

Yes this passage of Scripture is meaningful to me as well. Some commentators on this passage say the two disciples were leaving Jerusalem downcast by the death of Jesus. Here was Jesus with them in their disappointment and sadness but they did not recognise Him. It was in the breaking of bread that they recognised him. It was in eucharist, that is Christ given that they did. Seeing Jesus with us in ‘His’ way is what the Christian journey is about.

So glad to walk with you in an ever deepening relationship with Jesus.

God bless

Bruce

First food for my body then food for my spirit. It is good, very good to know you. I live in the country of South Australia some 200km from Adelaide. My nearest church (Catholic) is 50 km away and I attend every Sunday, more at Easter and Christmas. I am involved in my Church ministering the music and a PPC member. I am older now, live alone and there will come the day I will not be able to travel so far. I sit here with my Bible and study and watch you on my computer. I will continue with… Read more »

I am in awe Edwin, of how you travel every week and more. I have been travelling in NSW recently, and was more than even 50kms away from a parish to go to Mass. So listening to Bruce is a way to keep our hearts with God. God Bless you, and may you be able to continue to church as long as is possible. I am also drawn to your name, which is my fathers second name and the one he preferred to go by. Keep on keeping on.

The Journey of Joy in the Risen Christ is giving me a sense of who I am and what my life has all been about. It is an ever changing life I live in and that I have to keep firm in my beliefs and Bruce you give me the strength each day to walk with Our Lord. Thank you for all that you are doing. God Bless.

Hello Evelyn

The word inspiration comes from the word, ‘inspire,’ which among its different meanings means, to breathe life into. As a ministry one of slogans is ‘inspiring you to dream.’ Which to me means to help people be the person God calls them to be. I pray that the Daily Devotionals does this. Thanks.

God bless

Hi Lisa

What you have written is one of the most prayers I have heard or seen in a long time. You wrote, I want to have a deeper relationship with God.”

I guarantee you this prayer has been heard in heaven.

Jesus said if you seek me you will find me. He promises. You will!

I am so glad to be walking this journey of faith with you.

Thank you Bruce for this message that will take us deeper and deeper and deeper in our relationship with our Lord Jesus! Bruce this morning I had opened my Bible wanting to know what Jesus may want to say to me today. I read the passage where Jesus raises the widow’s son in Nain. As I pondered on what this might mean for me, I looked up today’s Mass Scripture reading and read about the crippled man begging at the Beautiful Gate at the Temple, and the healing that took place in the name of Jesus, for him through the apostles… Read more »

Hi Tracey

Not sure where you are from but being Australian and having so many viewers from many countries I often wonder if I am understandable enough. I spend a lot of time in the USA but everyone there tells me not to lose my ‘Aussie’ accent.

I am so glad to be walking daily in Christ with you.

God bless

Hi Bruce. I don’t know if you read these comments but I again would like to congratulate you on your excellent Theology skills especially in the theology of the Resurrection. Well done. I could see the Disciples enriching their lives with the presence of Jesus in their hearts and growing deeply conntected with Him. To make the link with the Sacraments where we are touched by God. We hear, we taste, we feel. We are experience the Risen Christ. Beautiful Theology. Well done.

Hello Chiarina Yes I do read the comments. They help me to understand where people are and how to speak to people’s faith walk and life’s challenges. A university Professor when I was studying Theology once said in class that Theology is, ‘people’s talk about, talk about God.’ I always found this a great definition. In biology we can dissect the frog and see how it works. In geology we can analyse the rock and what it is made up of. In theology however we cannot put God on the laboratory table but rather we can talk about peoples talk… Read more »

I’ve loved everyone of your talks Bruce since the first day of the Lenten reflections and now after the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, especially today’s talk about Jesus walking with the disciples after his death and Resurrection who they at first did not recognise him thank you, however I’m still struggling to know how to talk to my daughter and her family who are so disconnected with the church and my love of my Catholic faith, they cannot understand I have such a thirst and hunger to go to Mass everyday,

His Lynette For a long time the most common prayer request that we receive is, “will pray that my children go to Church. They do not understand.” We are living in a world that is moving away from God in so many ways driven by our vast media world, particularly social media where values contrary to faith are promoted. Our families live in this everyday and are affected by it. God has our families in His hands. He loves them more than we do or can. Keep praying for them and trust them to Him even though they do not… Read more »
