I have a small, very precious card that says: “God designed you to do more than simply avoid failure; He designed you for faith-filled adventures with Him. Leaving the safe environment of avoiding failure is the scariest, most rewarding step you’ll ever take.” On the reverse: “Live for self, you live in vain; Live for Christ, you live again.” There’s a story behind receiving the card – In my 20s, travelling solo on a holiday from Australia to the US, I was sitting in a bus station in LA and feeling pretty vulnerable about who knows what.
