Valerie From Australia

Please pray for my husband Tony who has several health issues, the most recent is peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes. He will be 62 and has been out of a full time job since he was 50. All that time he had one casual job and for five years did volunteer work. Through his volunteer work he introduced virtual reality and modern technology with elderly, including those who had dementia. This is happening in America and in Europe but unfortunately in Australia it isn't recognised as a therapeudic tool. He can't seem to find a job anywhere here that would utilise his passion. The work he did in the past saw him as too old and he was retrenched with great relief from both of us as he could not virtually see anymore value in working in that particular industry. On top of the physical health issues he has seeked help for depression as he feels he is running out of time to earn a living, to better our living standards and to have a purpose for his life. He gave up going to Church a long time ago and cannot understand the time I spend with God and all things religious. Could you please also pray for me as I had cancer 16 years ago and never returned to full time work. I did however do volunteer work for 8 years. I no longer want to volunteer in what I have done in the past and my husband wants me to try to find work, which is not going to be easy, considering my current situation. For years I have suffered on and off with depression but I believe I have come a long way after having had cancer. I have also noticed that in some areas of my environment I am having a battle with others accepting this. Please also pray for my son who no longer goes to Church and has left his faith behind. He has been out of work for several years himself. His girlfriend is working and like my son is not interested in Christ. Due to all our economic situations we all live in the same apartment and are not completely happy with this arrangement. Please pray for us all, I do believe we all need the Lord's help whether we are aware of it or not.
