I pray that I will have confidence and strength in my new Chemotherapy treatment that it will add to my healing , and that side effects will be something I can withstand. That I may be as strong as Jesus was on the cross and to see my consequences pain or anxiety is nothing to what Jesus endured . There is always someone that’s suffering more that I and so I pray for all cancer pts .

    Wow, your prayer request really struck me, because I too have had health issues and have often prayed that I can be as strong as Jesus. I too have reminded myself that my suffering is nothing compared to Jesus' suffering on the cross and have reminded myself that others suffer as well. I truly believe in the power of prayer! About 20 years ago I was in pre-op waiting for my first of many major surgeries and there were several grown men around me moaning and crying. I began to panic. At that point I started to pray the Our Father and Hail Mary and asked God to be with me. When the surgeon came to me to mark me and have me sign the consent papers he got angry with the nurse because he was convinced that I had been given medication to calm me- some kind of sedative. I just replied nope I have been talking with God. So, remember you are not alone. This terrible experience can actually bring you closer to God. You will be amazed at the kindness of others and the love from people you never knew cared. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless you.
