Years ago, early in my time in Al-Anon, my sponsor asked me to write at least 6 handwritten pages on what my needs, fears and expectations of Al-Anon might be. When I had finished, and it took me almost 2 months to finish, he asked me to sit quietly at my kitchen table when no one else was at home. He then told me to read what I had written and then see God across the table from me and pass my letter to him. The feeling of having given all my troubles to God was real and freeing.

I was profoundly moved by your msg today. I imagined sitting with Jesus and my late husband sitting next to him. Today would have been our 58th anniversary – Bob is now goe 2 years. This msg was just what I needed to hear! Thank you, Bruce!

I’d ask him why. I’m no where worthy of God in flesh being in that position. I find myself failing so often.
