People come to you because they can see God through you. God chooses you and your ministry to show us the way .I’m so happy we have our” Catholic Evangelist ” as a priest calls you. Like the leper you must have asked for God’s will and help to create your ministry and through your ministry we can pray and help one another. I pray and ask to be a good servant to God as well. The last two messages, yesterday and today have really been so central to me it the place I am at the moment, as I deal with hurt and disappointment. Sometimes I wonder how much I can take,but as I confront these issues I am a le to call on the lord and give myself wholly to him to ease the burden, I’m not quite there yet but it’s becoming easier to cope with.

Bruce, would you pray for a couple in my church. They are being revengeful towards me. Trying to remove me from the choir because the husband didn’t get the job, he thought I was going to nominate him as he wasn’t suitable for the position. I spoke to our priest, still they continue, it hurts me to see a time of lent they choose this path. they do bible study etc.

Last week when I visited the city, I spent some time at a Church that I’ve always loved, just reflecting and taking the opportunity for reconciliation and Mass. I reflected on my faith needing more depth and strength and in reconciliation sought the healing needed for that to happen. You’re right Bruce, God does say “Yes” and even though I’ve got a long way to go, I feel like the baggage of the past is truly in the past and there is a wonderful peace allowing me to focus more on what God wants me to do, day by day.

Thank you again Bruce. This is my third Lent with you and you have become my first thing to do daily along with my morning coffee. I share you often when something really “hits something in me” and some have come to watch you as well. I entered the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil 2000, so even though I am 80 years old, I am also a baby Catholic. You have so helped me to clarify so many things and you have brought me closer to God in my own life. You have such a calling.

Thank you for your way of making the scripture personal. I can identify with the priest you mentioned. As a young teacher I saw all these things outside of me that needed to be changed in the education system. Then I realized if I focussed on my own classroom and my students that would be enough and now retired, and 74, I know that it’s truly me that needs changing and refining through the work of the Holy Spirit within me.
