Hi Bruce thinking about triggers – I am short and everyone says I am OK I exercise every day but I am not happy with myself I just want to be a few kilos less. However no matter what I do I fail as I just do not lose those kilos. I am not dieting but trying to eat sensibly as well as exercise. I know that on the evenings my husband goes out to his Cursillo meeting fortnightly I go looking for something nice to eat. But do I stop at one No! You are right when someone is… Read more »

Maybe you can keep those snacks out of your home by not buying them when you go shopping and then instead buy healthy snacks like carrots or fruits. Good luck. You can do it.

Maybe you can give the Easter candy to your grandchildren if you have any, if not, donate it to the food pantry.

Oh Bruce. Thank you so much. I think for whatever reason you were not able to get back to this topic was just the time I needed to work up to a diet plan. I found this 2nd episode on our weight journey to be one of the best perspectives on weight loss that I have ever heard ! I will listen again and take notes to help keep the important parts front and center. . I have fought weight for more years than I care to admit. Though I’m not looking for a glamour result😊 I need to lose… Read more »

Talk about changing a habit Bruce. My usual morning routine when getting ready to go to work is wet my hair, wash my face, put my makeup on then dry my hair and get dressed. One morning a few weeks back, for some unknown reason, I dried my hair got dressed and left. On my way in the car I looked into the rearview mirror and thought where are my eyebrows and eyelashes, I had missed the put on my makeup part and hadn’t even realised it. I had such a giggle to myself…. Thank you Bruce and and your… Read more »

Thank you, I never really looked at my habits as being such a hold my actions. I do know that I am not on a diet, it is more of trying to eat healthier and choosing better foods. This has been difficult because I really don’t know what is good for you food, or what others tell me is good. Ingredient listings are usually long and confusing. My weight has always been a problem and now that I am older this journey will be harder but I am determined to try my best. Thank you for your encouragement and prayers.

🙏👍. No one wants us to succeed more than Our Father, who with Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be our comfort enabler and companion! The scale weekly is a friend…for me now it is daily! I don’t want to see tomorrow the pound I lost last week creep into my life😉. Still not easy to say No to things🙏

I don’t use a scale anymore. Diets have all failed and I am tired of getting all different kinds of advice. I am going to listen to these podcasts and the Holy Spirit’s prompting on my heart. I will be visiting a nutritionist soon, hopefully that will help.

Mary, I have found a nutritionist who has been very helpful so all the best with that.
Thank you Bruce. You are right. It’s the mind that matters and help from God. I have on the fridge a list of things I can do instead of eating. Being busy doing something I like helps. So….Read, Walk, TV, Call someone. Talk to the cat ….Play an instrument …

Your 1st Episode was excellent! I sat down and thought of my down falls ..🥺sweets and salty..mainly chips! I Prayed and thought of alternatives!! Have a piece of fruit to satisfy sweet … salty, 🤷🏻‍♀️Celery and peanut butter! And the Holy Spirit prompts me…”..Is that necessary “when I am getting weak!!! No, it is not necessary at 75 I want energy, and losing some weight will definitely help with achy knees and hip pain!! This episode was so in your face.. if it’s not in the house you can’t get to it🤗. Thanks! Prayers for everyone to fort fit and… Read more »

These are not excuses, they are very good reasons why there has been a delay. It just shows how “life happens” and throws us off-track at times. Thanks for your great work in all you do❤️.

I am the same, there were good days and bad days. There was the “Baking cookies with my granddaughter and eating most of them incident”, and the “Great Girl Scout cookies debacle”. The latest fall was the “Chocolate Peanut Butter brownies fiasco”!
but at least, thanks to this blog there have been some improvements. Thank you and everyone commenting, this is a great help to me.😊😍

Hi Bruce and Team,
Such a positive way to get fit!!! Thank you
Changing habits. So hard but renewing daily – sinking into the subconscious – replacing breakfast with a fast and prayer walk, reminding myself what bread and alcohol does to my body and taking that away for just one day at a time, is making such a difference with God in charge!!

Helen Jobe

Very interesting. It certainly is a mind thing! Thanks for the explanation of the subconscious. Now to tell myself I don’t need to snack whilst watching tv so that becomes a default setting. All the best with your weight loss journey. Thank you for all you do. God bless.

Thank you Bruce, this has been a hard journey with no results yet. First I do love food but I have changed some old habits and am trying to be better. I see others around me doing the same thing but they are losing weight, its frustrating. I think that God is telling me that is not my time yet but to just keep trying. I will try to eat healthier but exercise is a problem due to my arthritis, my knees are bad and even the dr. has told me to be very careful of my activity. Could you… Read more »
