Another “version” of this comforting scripture is one written on a little plaque which sits on my dressing table – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understandings. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” I remind myself daily as I read these words how I need to totally trust God as I journey with caring for my husband with dementia. Thank you Bruce, this talk comes of the back of a beautiful talk you gave last night on prayer and letting God be the decision maker, how we can want certain things, but God has the final say. I felt truly blessed by what you said this morning as I’m going through a lot of pain as a result of a back injury which is being treated but when the pain comes and I place my trust in God and I find that he gives me some relief and eases the pain threshold. Thank you Bruce for this reminding words, sometimes my mind wonders and worried about my children’s what will happen to them,I worried because I am fighting ovarian cancer and I get scared sometimes but when I listen to you I feel in peace…yes I will trust God more from now on…thank you Bruce..God bless.
