If the tomb was sealed, why did they come with spice to annoint the body? Who were the men that said “Why do look for the living among the dead?”

Many thanks Bruce. I shared this part of a reflection with our NSW State Council of SVDP over the weekend. Certainly adds to your thoughts and prayers here…A consistent feature of the resurrection stories is that the risen Jesus was different and initially unrecognizable. Resurrection is not simply a resuscitation of the old body. Jesus is in a “new” space and the disciples were not, they were still in the turmoil of grief and change. In their fear they returned to the safety of the “old” space as in some way returning to become fishers of fish and not of… Read more »
