Bruce Thanks for the Daily Devotopnal today but there is one thing that troubles me about this event, and it has troubled me for some years. Perhaps you could respond on it. My concern is this. Jesus is the son Of Mary and John is the son of Elizabeth. Mary and Elizabeth are cousins. So John and Jesus are second cousins. It was Eliabeth who welcomed Mary with ‘Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you amoung women and blessed is the fruit of oyur womb Jeses”. This puzzles me also… John knew whom Jesus was when he baptised him so why the doubt now?..
