Bruce, when my children ask what I want for Christmas, I tell them I’d like some pretty stationery and some stamps. Then they say well I can’t get you that because you can get them yourself. So, they get something else. But I really wanted the pretty paper and stamps!

Maybe because you are so busy give Rosemary one day of your time, yourself take her out let her know she is the most important person in your life besides God. Make it the most important date that you both have that day , buy her flowers and lunch or tea out but make it about her . Turn your phone and mind off knowing this is about her and the gift God gave you in her . Bring dinner home one afternoon so she does not have to cook. Also paper plates so she does not have to wash dishes.
And tell her how important she is to you and etc you know what else to add to that and what to say.
I love beautiful statues of our Lady from the st Joseph’s collection. It’s better than flowers. Flowers are expensive and they die.

I’m buying my spouse a WiFi picture frame. All of your pictures can be seen in regular intervals. Your children can also send you photos which are added to your rotation. The two brands that I know are Aura and Skylight.
This is a great idea. MY daughter has one and it is really a neat way to see the lad test photos of family.

How about something that celebrates her trust and dedication to God especially through her health journey this year. Get you, the children and grand children to write her a notes around the same theme, have it professionally framed that she can put it somewhere where she can see it everyday. Plan a visit before the holidays to cancer patients and let her encourage them. After the visit plan a family get together where you will present her with the frame.

I became a widow 22 months ago and what I treasure most was time for a walk, listening to some music together, a bowl of ice cream in the evening. I can buy things but good memories of our time together means the most to me and takes away loneliness later on in life, and one rose a month always helps.

A wonderful idea that i do for my family is a reusable Advent Calendar. In each drawer you can write a note about a gift for that day, it can be a special rosary in her honor, a chore that you will do to relieve her of some work, cook a meal, take her on a walk to see the Christmas lights, etc.
