Your reading of today’s scripture is like a plea straight from your heart .We thank Jesus for sharing His mother with us and we should care for others as well. Some people are really lonely not necessarily by choice, especially the elderly ones in our community.
You are so right Rosemary, We can to get out of our shell and say Hello or just a smile. Our Mother in heaven shared more than that with us. May God bless you and your family in your calling

Thank you for a timely reminder to reach out. A friend and I were only saying last week how the 1st weeks of being in our parish (many years ago) were lonely until someone reached out. A few weeks ago we stopped sitting in different pews but on the same side of the church. We now sit on opposite sides and aim to speak to someone after Mass every Sunday. We also now encourage each other to attend parish functions, join volunteer team etc because, despite our advanced years, we still have reservations about fronting up alone.
