What was the Bible you said was written in everyday language? I love my Bible but at times I think what is the message here? Maybe the one you referred to would be helpful. Thank you!
There are a few easy read bibles, the NLT , the new living translation and the Message Bible. I always read a few different ones – you can google the passage and even put down which translation and it will come up. Also a website callled biblegateway.com you can type in the scripture verse and then scroll to the right hand side the translation you want.

Thank you Rosemary for REMINDING me to FOCUS ON JESUS in this encouraging Heart Message!!! To fix my eyes on Him not on the storm that surrounds me!!! To see and Listen to our Loving God in the Sacred Scriptures, who is the LIVING WORD. Thank you for sharing with us Rosemary, how the Spirit of God spoke to you while in an argument with your dear husband!
