I join you in that prayer and my family as well… they were all baptized, received Holy Communion and Confirmation and the Holy Spirit lives in them but hasn’t been able to come alive!🙏👍🕊

As a 58-year-old cradle catholic the Holy Spirit has always been difficult to explain. Your definition has greatly helped me, as you have said many times. The Holy Spirit is the power of God alive in me. I have never heard such a profound and perfect, easily understandable explanation. Thank you.

I was excited about this series as I just did not know or understand the role of the Holy Spirit in my life. It’s like getting to know a new friend. When you talk about the Holy Spirit making what is Supernatural, natural. Are you saying Bruce, that the Holy Spirit’s power appears supernatural to those who do not experience His power but those who form a very close relationship with the Holy Spirit, will often hear His voice in their hearts and consciences, will see His power taking place in their lives, will be led and guided by the Holy Spirit will… Read more »

When I pray, I start out by asking the Holy Spirit to “fill this room with Your atmosphere .” I am asking the Holy Spirit to be near me, guide me in my prayers and help me to hear Him. I am asking for His counsel. If I am facilitating a group, I am inviting the Holy Spirit to be present with all of us, that we all are on Holy ground, together, and that we all hear and feel the Holy Spirit among us. Feeling so blest by your series on the Holy Spirit. Heb 6 verses frighten me. Spiritually, I’ve had some many yo-yo experiences over many years. Like a recalcitrant 2 year old, I’ve often let go of my Lord’s hand to run with the world, only to come slinking back when I’ve skinned my knees. But following your series, I’m feeling blessed.

Your story about the material for your new home showing up just as you prayed for it, reminds me of many times my wife has prayed for things. She always says that “If I can’t trust God in little things, how will I ever be able to trust Him with big things.”
Today is our 38th wedding anniversary. I am asking for prayers for my wife. And I am asking for prayers to have the same strength of faith that she does.

I am learning about the Holy Spirit and it deepens my awareness of how God is working in me. Thank you. I do have a question about the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. When I attended a Pentecostal Church that was an outward sign of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Praying in tongues. Never really understood that.

I have been so blessed by your series on the Holy Spirit. My background is Evangelical. But I work at a United Church in the area of music. I am so thankful to God for ministries like yours that keep to the Truth of the Bible, meaning you interpret it as true and not allegory. But I was taken aback today when you mentioned that you prayed in the name of Mary. I do not find this anywhere in scripture. On the last day of my Husband’s life, the Holy Spirit was with him, with me, and my sons as we watched him enter into eternal life. We could not have gotten through these hours without the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit touching us all. Bob had lived a full life, 84 years of age, and left us with beautiful memories. I need to hear more about praying to Holy Spirit. I thought we just prayed to God. I had Baptism of Holy Spirit at my home and can speak in tongues…but should only be used in congregation. Never felt God giving me the words and courage. Now in church does not do it. Thank you for saying the Holy Spirit prayer. Still can’t write that fast, did not find it anywhere in tabs or website. Hope it is in Holy Spirit book I am getting. Want to encourage you in Christ in your ministry. God bless you.
