Hi Carol, the reference is Ezekiel 14:17 “Or if I bring a sword upon that land and say, “Let a sword pass through the land,” and I cut off human beings and animals from it;”

And how we can look at Mary as our great example as to what we need to do, in our circumstances, our life in order to stand firm, and be, and do, what God has called for us to be and do! I am 64 years old and I raised 6 children I never thought I would be raising children again but here I am and yes it’s a job God has given me, but He continually helps me. I don’t feel I am suffering just overwhelmed at times. And I pray I will be able to see this through until they are grown and capable of living a responsible life. And I pray for them to know the Lord and serve Him.

A time of reflecting on our own suffering but always to remember that He took onto himself our suffering. I look at Him on the cross above my head and am reminded of the cost he paid for my deliverance from sin. No one outside of Christianity can make that claim. However, the deeper we get in knowing Christ through prayer, The Word of God, our love for God, Son and Holy Spirit, our obedience, our willingness to change and be more like Jesus, and to form intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, the decisions we have to make will… Read more »
