Isn’t the Holy Ghost the same as the Holy Sprit at one time we always said the Holy Ghost then it changed to Holy Spirit im I right in saying this and if so why did it change

Dear Jean, the change reflects the change in the use of the words. Both Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit were used to refer to the Third Person of the Trinity well before the 20th century, although Holy Ghost was the most common in biblical and prayer texts. Practically all recent translations of the Bible, both Protestant and Catholic, have preferred Holy Spirit in most instances. The reason is probably because the meaning of the word ghost has gradually shifted over the last 300 years and now predominantly refers to the vision of the specter of a deceased person. Holy Spirit,… Read more Β»

Thank you Bruce for yet another special message on the gifts of the Holy Spirit! I will take your encouragement and pray for the next 24 hours with the Holy Spirit’s help as to what gifts the Holy Spirit has given me that are operating in my life. Where I bring peace and the Kingdom of God even though I can’t say the Kingdom of God? !!! May the Lord bless you Bruce, Rosemary and all who work devoted to the Lord and the ministry, for His glory and for our common good!!! I’ll see you tomorrow Bruce in order… Read more Β»

I have been given many gifts from the Holy Sprit The very first one I always think of is the gift of my Mother.God gave me a wonderful Mother who gave my brothers and sister her love. She raised us alone and taught us to believe in God.She was special

The most obvious work of the Holy Spirit happened for me when I was facilitating an after-care group from a chemical dependency facility. I would sit in my car and pray for the Holy Spirit to help me find the right words to say and know when to shut up. I often was amazed at what came out of my mouth during our group meeting . The Holy Spirit worked in me.

I would like to thank everyone for praying for our son n law who has cancer.
There was not a treatment that worked for him until a Dr. who does gene study came up with 3 treatments that could help him.
I know prayers work.

I am doing catch up on the videos for this week.
I realize now that I was busy being directed by the Holy Spirit, helping a family member who has been struggling with life. I am thankful that God has found His way to work through me.
