The devotional has helped me to let go of some hate. I finally realized how much it was harming me. I’m no longer that person. Most people have some good we just have to look for it and focus on that. Hatred festers and love heals!

Sometimes I find it’s not so much the forgiveness of someone who has done the wrong thing by you, but the extra steps required to love them, to be genuinely generous towards them by my behaviour and thoughts. I find there’s definitely a time-lag between the decision to let it go and my feelings really catching up with the decision.

So, so true…..it is heartening to know that I am not alone with the way that I attempt to address this behaviour . Thank you for putting it so succinctly.

Dear Bruce, Rosemary and all the team, this prayer this morning is a gift to my heart. The message is so powerful and fulfilling the prayer is my heart’s cry. Abba’s blessings over you all.

Thank you Bruce. Very challenging and inspiring. As a Retired Baptist Minister, I find your devotions spot on every time. God bless you as you serve Him on the path He has prepared for you. Isn’t it wonderful how ecumenical we can be, if we allow Jesus to really be in charge, at the core, the heart of our lives and do as today’s teaching encourages, “Love as Jesus Loves.” Baptists and Catholics together, encouraging each other in service for the King of Kings.

Thank you Bruce for today’s Daily Devotional on Loving as Jesus loves, that is what I spoke to my 1st grade scripture class this morning. It was interesting to hear the young kids describe how they saw love, and how they saw Jesus express his love for all.

Since I came across you some years back, I have listened to your devotionals, and daily during lent, Bruce. This year it has been particularly special with the focus on “making way for greater things”, at this time in my life. Also on Saturday I was in tears during Rosemary’s session. Gods presence was moving even in South Africa. Today’s session God has been speaking to me about, and I need to go through a focused quiet time on. Many thanks and blessings.

The daily devotionals are helping me move forward. Realizing God comes first. I always worked solo. Recently I attended adoration. I left calm, happy haven’t felt this way. I thanked Fr G. told him how rewarding it was for me. He said it was the Holy Spirit. I am grateful.
Blessed be God, Holy Spirit and Jesus his son. Amen

I have a person whom I really don’t like the things he has said and done to someone I love. It is really hard to forgive or even like him so I’m not sure how to love this person. After hearing you today I will try but it will be very hard. Praying I can Love as Jesus does.

Bruce, you amaze me with your command of the Bible. Your daily messages are always so pertinent. Today’s message hit home with me and made me realize I need to practice forgiveness of those who did wrong to me in the past. I have been struggling with this.

This is such a critical message for everyone. I need to really take this in and never forget that this is a commandment given by Jesus Himself. Thank you for reminding us that this is a command.
We can’t choose to be loving only to those we like or agree with. “Loving our enemies and praying for those who persecute us” – that’s not easy. But we must. Thank you for your beautiful words.

I found this daily devotional particularly impactful to me as I have a hard time with forgiveness and loving those that have hurt me. Thank you Bruce for reminding me that loving others is a commandment and not a choice. As I grow deeper in my faith walk I have come to realize that to be called to serve the Lord requires me to put aside how I feel and to do as I have been asked by the Father without question. I would not be the person I am becoming without your teachings. I owe my spiritual growth to… Read more »
