God works in mysterious ways. I decided to retire from work last December just because I turned 70. Trying to figure out what to do in retirement, I got an offer to work again. I told my children, it looks like God doesn’t want me to retire. I am looking forward to be of service to the community. Definitely a gift of Grace and Mercy from God that I have been offered this opportunity.

Thank you Bruce!!! Another challenging message for me today! This reminds me so much of the prayer I requested and had also sent to the Prayer Wall. Only yesterday I went with my husband to the cemetry where his grandfather is buried who passed away two years before he was born. The true stories told about him included how he a good Catholic man, would very actively assist the poor. One homeless man asked for clothes, he gave the homeless man his address and told him what to say to his wife in order to receive his own clothes! He… Read more »
Well said Valerie, I like what you have written. Jesus had all the gifts and used each of them when needed. We also are called to use all the gifts He gives us and any time they are needed. God is helping me in my prayer life that has not been as good as it should have been, another gift I am now using for His glory, Following Bruce opened that to me and my heart is now open to learn to pray and it is exciting. Proud of you Bruce you took time out to help your grandson and you both benefited from it . In Lent I don’t give up food I always give up my time for people and i think this is harder to do and more rewarding .

Thank you again Bruce, such words that draw us to encounter God that we will know His love, grace and our new life. A rabbi said about ‘words’ that they were the vessel containing the meaning of the word. Each word in a text carries the meaning for that text and it will vary for each text because of the other words in that text. I liked it Bruce when you stopped everything to listen to your grandson read. I find how wonderful carers are and friends who stop what they are doing to help me. I am disabled, they dont hesitate or make me feek bad. Your story touched me Jill

Bruce today’s talk really gave me affirmation of my life as a prayer person…an educator. where I share my talents to be with God’s special children ..and a grandmother to 3 where I really feel God’s grace and true joy I thank you for your words to remind me of my true path in life.. took a while to get here but AMEN TO THAT THE SWEETNESS IS TRULY ACCEPTED.
