Yes Bruce, I often wonder how much we understand the enormity of our separation from God and the depth of His Love. I have been studying Judaism for some time and from the time God brought the Hebrews out of Egypt to Mt Sinai, His holy mountain and made them His nation and drew them into that wonderful relationship with Him and His plan to bring His Son into the world, my realization of His love has been beyond me to fully express. The lamb is innocent, there is no way that the blood of lamb can forgive sins, only God can forgive so why the lamb? The lamb is the substitute that God has decreed acceptable, as a token of His love for mankind. It is harsh, horrible yet sin has to be atoned, someone has to pay for sin; the lamb is symbolic of God’s Son paying for our sin. I can’t even begin to count the number of times that I have turned away from God, severe guilt for me. He must look down at times and think “What a real knucklehead.” and yet he is always there to help me back up. I found your site at the beginning of Lent this year and what a blessing and comfort it has been for me. I appreciate your slow approach to the daily devotional, it gives me time to digest and realize how great it is to follow God. Thank you.

I have never doubted Gods Exsistand and yet people say you need to have doubted him to be close to him but I’ve always been close to him they look at me as if they don’t believe me but God as always been the centre of my life ive only felt annoyed with him twice when u prayed for something to help two people but he didn’t and I still feel annoyed at him when u think of this but I still love God and beleive in him

What I don’t understand about this is if God didn’t want any harm to cine to annimals why did he have the Lamb sacreficed
