Bruce, i have been wanting to pray the Rosary for some time though I am not a Catholic…yet. A friend recently gave me a pamphlet on how to pray the Rosary but I thought I might get mixed up, having never done it before and not having rosary beads, so I chose to pray it with you and Rosemary. I found it a lovely peaceful time with beautiful prayers…but also it was very difficult to meditate on the mysteries while saying different words….I suppose I will improve with practice? Hi Jilba, I also pray the rosary with Bruce and Rosemary. In order to concentrate on each mystery, I open another tab to look at an image of each mystery. This I find very helpful. I hope that this suggestion works for you too. God bless, Brendan.
Dear Jilba, welcome to our family and saying the prayers of the Rosary with us. I find some days I can concentrate well and say the formal prayers so easily while thinking of the Mystery but other days my brain can only remember to recite the prayers. Thats ok, God understands out inadequacies and our human frailty. I still find the more I pray the Rosary the more meaningful it becomes and the Holy Spirit reveals himself to me.The peace that comes from this Prayer is amazing. Thank you both that I am able to pray with you and with our brothers and sisters, around the world today, the Holy Rosary of the Sorrowful Mysteries on this day, Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Thank You Lord that we may walk with You on this Holy Journey throughout Lent.
