God had blessed with Wonderful husband and 4 beautiful children, with faith, and with your encouraging messages. I try not to miss a day as they bring me joy and a closeness to God. I can’t thank you enough.
I am the same as you. A wonderful husband who although not Catholic supports me in my faith in every way. We too have 4 beautiful now adult children and exactly as yourself listening to Bruce & Rosemary brings me into a new closeness with God that I’ve never had before and has changed my life.

I know God is with me in my ups and downs and when my husband passed away I really felt his presence and it helped me through a very difficult time. 12 months ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer- I have been truely blessed to have been treated with the latest immunotherapy available- I have been supported through the love and prayers of many family and friends, including Healing prayer groups – and I BELIEVED that God could and would heal me I have improved significantly and am most likely to be confirmed as “In Remission” in 3 weeks at my next scans The first 4 weeks were devastating and I then drew on the passage “Footprints” and believed God would carry me through my journey- and he… Read more »
I am blessed to have met you a couple of years ago in Brisbane. OLOL. I look forward to meeting you again in March. Your talks inspire me to be a better person. The other day, I enjoyed one particular talk, “cast the net on the other side.” I was so inspired I forwarded it to my 3 adult children. Here’s hoping they listen to it and return to the church.
Amen, Gary! My three adult sons too! I pray for them everyday! Good men, but need to SEE God’s presence in their lives. They each had 12 years of Parochial schooling, now in their 40’s . . . I believe “God is not taught, but caught”. Once that happens, you seek to know Him more and more!

Thank you for these wonderful presentations. Today’s links with my thoughts about it being important to be visible as a Christian (in my case a Catholic), rather than your faith being a private matter. Holy pictures in your home, saying you will pray for people ill or in trouble, lightly expressed references to what Jesus did or said when discussing something. Let people know what your faith means to you, don’t hide it.

I thank the Lord my God every day. His blessings in my life have been many. It is in looking back over Eighty years, that I can see the hand of God, so clearly working in my life. Salvation of self and family, guidance through troubled times, deliverance from bad habits. The list of blessings God has given me and those I love is so long and includes every aspect of our lives. One particular instance of blessing always comes to mind when I think about the enormity of blessings and how nothing is impossible for God: We wanted to go along a particular business path years ago. God led me to your site. I am grateful to be here, with you, every day. God has blessed me over and over throughout my life. He was with me when I went through cancer, when all my 5 siblings and my dad abandoned me. God reveled to me HE is all I need. God has blessed me by allowing me to find Bruce Downes. Every day the devotionals brings new thought provoking, understanding and enrichment to my life and how to follow and honour God. In my daily life I realise I spend much more time worrying about and dealing with the negative aspects. Today’s devotional has prompted me to think about my blessings. God has delivered me from my sins in a miraculous way. He has cleansed me and set me free from addictions. There is no way I can set myself set free- I’m too weak. It’s only by His amazing Grace and Mercy on me. I am so very grateful and humbled by His Glory, Greatness and Love.

2019, my daughter was awarded an academic blazer in matric. I congratulated her, walked into my room and sobbed. I knew that there was no way we’d be able to afford the R800 blazer. I then went onto Facebook, and in my chat was a message from a former principal of the school. He congratulated us and said he’d like to pay for the blazer and trimmings. That moment I knew the hand of God 🙏🏼. Many more, but THIS ONE…

My 13yr old daughter had a very serious reaction to a bacterial infection last month. Doctors advised us to prepare for the worst but through the power of the Holy Spirit, she had a miraculous recovery. I had never prayed so much in my life and God was merciful to us. Thank you for the daily words Bruce, they have certainly helped me draw closer to God.
I too, thank God for the word I receive each day from Bruce is just the word I need at that moment in my life. I praise and Thank God for all Gods goodness to me. I am happy always to be reminded that God is never far from me. I can only say thank you. Francis.

God has blessed me all through my life: He has brought me through a childhood of trauma with a mentally disturbed father, sexually abusive brother and uncle, mentally and physically abusive exhusband to a wonderful 36 year marriage to a great man with 3 wonderful daughters. He has brought me through and made me stronger through many illnesses that are brought on by all the trauma I have faced. I would not be here without my God.

God blessed me with my wonderful husband, whom is catholic, after 20 yrs being alone after my divorce and I became a catholic on Easter 2014, then in May we were married. God has blessed people in my life when they were ill, for us to have more time with, for our children and grandchildren and recently spared my daughter and granddaughters life in a horrific car accident that took the other persons life which has been so difficult to process. Thanks to God and prayer that my husband has been able to fight lung cancer. He is stage 4 and had chemo and keytruda. The tumor has been non active for 15 months. The doctor said to think God above because we have been blessed. Was diagnosed in 2017 and the hope of having 2 years has turned into 5 years. Thanks be to God❤️

I truly am grateful that God brought an amazing young lady into our work family 10 years ago. She was just offered a position with another company that is trying to undermine us. She refused even though more money. She has strong Christian values and has been a gift to us. I give thanks.

Many years ago I was guilty of a horrible white collar crime which saw me contemplating suicide and living with no hope. At this stage of my life I had always been an atheist.
I believe God saved me from ending it all because he had bigger plans for me – I didn’t realise that it was God at the time but I was drawn to seeking a better way which lead me to the Bible – and I have been blessed every day since.

I believe God saved me from ending it all because he had bigger plans for me – I didn’t realise that it was God at the time but I was drawn to seeking a better way which lead me to the Bible – and I have been blessed every day since.
