Thanks Bruce. My son is 34 yrs old. The numerous phone calls and issues everyday just wears you down. Thank you for your message today, to keep being the adult to love and show compassion, even when you just want to explode.

Thank you today Bruce for Matt 11/28. I am a father of 3 children -2 of whom have a serious eye condition and are legally blind. Thru God’blessing, years of deep prayer they struggled with schooling including college and have carved out successful careers, great marriages. My middle daughter who has normal vision has a third child- daughter Mae who requires constant care with her midochrondial disease. She like your grand-daughter is 16 years-old and can’t speak, walk, or care for herself and is… Read more »

Thank you so much for this message today. My special needs daughter is almost 40 years old, and both of us have worked hard to give her the best life possible. I have never considered myself a hero, but a good and faithful servant to God for trusting me to raise His special child. God bless.

For five years I was the caregiver of my husband who had multiple myeloma. I had to work as well. For five years my mind, actions, and constant planning, filled every moment of every day except for the few hours I slept. Then, one day, he was gone and I was left with such emptiness. I no longer knew what ordinary people did with their time. I ask for prayer for every caregiver, the forgotten angels.

Bruce, thank you for brining up this topic. I agree that parents with special needs children are a blessing and are very loving and caring. I also would like to highlight and recognize the siblings of special needs children as they also assist their parents with care and have live for their special needs sibling. Some of the siblings end up caring for their special needs sibling. The siblings are forgotten and they too need to be recognized and prayed for. I’d like to see some support groups and prayer groups for the siblings that care for their special needs… Read more »
