To me, this chapter of the Bible holds so many of the “life lessons” we live by today – lead by example, don’t ask someone to do something you aren’t prepared to do yourself, treat others as you are/want to be treated etc. And I ponder this: when Jesus, son of God, washed the disciples’ feet, it suggests cleaning up the unclean part so that the whole is clean and in that way speaks to reconciliation. You have brought This writing of John powerfully home to me. I was able to close my eyes and see the people I love leave me in one way or another. No I am never quite the same when they leave me. But How Blessed I am that He Give them to me for the Time I had and Honored that He waited for me to totally understand. This morning I totally understand.
