Thank you, Bruce, you opened up that text so beautifully, it got me to understand more about that event, to understand Mary and Joseph’s astonishment and lack of understanding. Mary knew that Jesus was to be born as the Messiah of Israel, yet he would just be like any other Jewish boy for it would be as an adult He would step into the ‘public’ arena as Messiah. What He may have felt or understood about His Father’s plan for His life, death, and resurrection we can only guess at. Surly though would Jesus as He growing up, be burdened… Read more »
Thank you for sharing. Sitting in the text of the Scripture as you are, causes a person to have all kinds of reflections. Don’t be surprised if I quote you sometime.
What country are you in? I can never tell as people are from so many countries.
i live in Australia, South Australia and I attend a Catholic Church at a small town, Tailem Bend, some 50 km from where I live. Yes, I would be humbled that would think my study worthy. But never hesitate to tell me if I seem to cut across your ministry. I get excited by what God’s Holy Spirit reveals to me and I study to ensure that what I write is true and faithful to the text. I studied in a bible college full time for a year and have continued all my life since. My Bible is almost the… Read more »

This was a beautiful reflection on Searching! I feel as if throughout my experience following your daily devotions since Ash Wednesday and having chosen to follow HEART and Rosemary’s Jottings… I have been searching and growing and deepening in my understanding and relationship with God. Thank You Bruce! May God continue to bless you and you ministry, your family, your team.
Thank you for your kind words. It is nearly 11.30pm and I just looked at the comments which I do numerous times a day and saw yours. You encourage me to keep going. I am just preparing the 9 Days to Power series which starts on Wednesday. I am very excited by it because the Holy Spirit empowers us and transforms us. I believe that we will see people encounter God powerfully in the coming days and into Pentecost. It is what changed my life.
I will continue to pray for you.
Thank you so much Bruce for another enlightening and encouraging message, to follow Mary’s example in searching for deeper encounter, understanding, knowledge about our Lord Jesus! I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s final message from this rewarding series, concerning 7 Habits You/I Can Learn From Mary, Bruce. And as for Wednesday! I don’t want to miss at all,the beginning in praying the Novena to the Holy Spirit for the next 9 days! God bless you always Bruce, Rosemary and all who work for this ministry! See you tomorrow Bruce and good night!
may 10. Best one yet. I found you at the beginning of Lent. And have been blessed to reflect and draw closer to Christ. Today, as a parent of grown kids (20&21) I related with Mary, and take comfort in my own imperfect journey seeking him, as even his Mother, chosen by our Lord, showed human angst. Great message today sir. Well delivered
Thank you Bruce and God’s blessings ???? to you and your ministry. I’m so grateful for your daily inspirational teachings. I’m with you daily starting my day. You give me more insight on everything you have been sharing. Keep up the wonderful work. God bless ???? all if you.
Bruce, When I was a child,I wanted all the attention on my needs. Now , I am much older and say I need more of Jesus and less of me.
Hi Anthony, that seems so much to be a sign of spiritual maturity to say less of me and more of you.
Thanks for writing.
Thank you Bruce for sharing this lesson today and opening up our hearts, minds and souls to The Gospel and its meaning. We are truly blessed to have you in our daily lives. God bless????????????
Keep searching for Jesus. Thank you Bruce for the Search word in Mother Mary’s life. Be Blessed always.
I feel blessed that God lead me to your site. He certainly knows what I need to hear and learn. Thank you and God bless you and your family.
Thank you Bruce for your comments on searching. I am nearly 81 years old and I am continually searching for Jesus in my life and I have come to realize that it’s a journey and the destination is eternity in heaven.
Thank you so much
Bruce, GOD has surely blessed you with the gift of being able to talk to people. I have heard this story of Finding Jesus in the Temple so many times, but the way YOU read it made you really realize how frightened Mary and Joseph must have been. Mary might not have held back the way she talked to Our Lord. Stern BUT with LOVE. GOD BLESS you and your family!
