Congratulations, Bruce, on some very wise words concerning how we might approach the rapidly changing world in which we find ourselves. Your message, that we should strive to keep our language powerful and transcendent, was particularly well chosen for today, Divine Mercy Sunday.

Thank you Bruce

It’s true that some people expect the church to preach according to their lifestyle instead of THE WORDS OF GOD found in the Bible .There is no other way to say this than how you said it Bruce. We all need to be reminded of the Truth.

Thank you Bruce for this timely reminder that the truth is always the truth. I pray for the grace to reject the sin, but love the sinner – to live according to the law of love, with an ability to speak the truth from a place of love & mercy, so that others may know that God loves them infinitely, unconditionally & eternally no matter what & that He is always drawing them to Himself. Thanks & praise… Amen

Good to hear you join the conversation, albeit necessarily caveated, that the truth is the Truth. And thanks for your reference to the Pharisee and Rules.
How often do flowers at the site of a tragedy refer to the deceased being now an angel, nearly always! Yet the churches are empty.
I’m glad I clicked on you today. Thanks.

Hi Bruce, Thank you for the wise words on the Gospel and for giving me the ability to hear you daily. I am writing this message in hope that you are still sending the “Radical Forgiveness” booklet that I purchased during the Lent season. I look forward to hearing from you. I watch your daily devotionals for a few years now and feel like the Catholic person in me is on the right path.

The decline was mentioned in scripture. It is the great falling away.

That is true… but the remanent will be triumphant! We win in the end🙌👍🙏

The triumphant won’t only be Catholics. Or Orthodox. Or Protestant. It will those who have the faith In Christ and follow the commandments of God.

😉 Never mentioned “ Catholic” denomination in that response 🤗…. Just the remnant which is in the old and New Testament and in both Bibles🙌! One in Christ is just that … unity is important 🕊. It’s what our Heavenly Father had in mind when He sent His Son…. Can’t praise Him enough!!!

Most Catholics I ever met just assume that the Roman Catholic Church is the only place for salvation. I was a Catholic for 20+ years. That was my belief because church teaching says its the only place for salvation.

Go with what brings unity not division… Catholics have the same Bible as other faiths who see Christ as Savior… only with a couple more books, which are valid. The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.. there is only one Truth!!🤗. As long as the denomination you choose to worship in believes in God the Father Almighty, Jesus His one and only Son, and the precious Gift of the Holy Spirit we will have and enjoy eternal life here and in Heaven our true home!!! Be very blessed and always see everyone as He with His eyes… have… Read more »

I believe you speak the truth, but you left out why I stopped attending and giving to the Catholic Church. I stayed with the church during the period when we started to find out about sexual abuse. But, after years of coverup of abusers by the Bishops I respected, I found it too repulsive to continue.
Your ministry has helped me pray regularly and develop a relationship with God. I thank you for that.
Please speak to how we can cope with the evil the church has done.

I agree that the church has a lot to answer for. I think we can acknowledge that fact and move on not repeating them.

What was done was done… only God can fix people who have been traumatized by that outrageous behavior. Also we can pray for those who were deceived and truly very sick. We are the 1st Church with Peter as the first Pope… the small percent that was deceived is very small and we as Catholics should realize that and be unified in all things …. Especially abortion! Think about how very much it hurt the heart of God Our Father to see that evil being done by one of His priests!😢

Jessy

That’s why we have to pray for our priests. They are human like us .I hope that Beth comes back to church because when the sins happened It was not led by God but by the enemy of God. .And of course that’s what the enemy wants ,to pull people away from our church but I’m glad it didn’t affect your faith and trust in God .As Jesus said in John 8:7-Let anyone of you who is without sin be the first one to throw a stone” So let’s pray for the victims for and for the church as well.

Amen! 👍🙏Truth …. And there is only one Truth…and we only have one enemy…satan…hates the Kingdom family… which is everyone who believes in Jesus as Savior!! Satan only wants to kill steal and destroy … but the Blood of Jesus gives us victory and the Holy Spirit gives wisdom to help us to love others unconditionally! Every human being has great value and worth and purpose. God so loved the World…🕊🥰

Lost my Daughter recently. A lady told me, a person to whom I was delivering a secondhand item but was unable to pick it up that part of her life journey as a now retired nurse was the horror of losing her child at the age of 12. She was in so much grief at the time that when someone said to her, the pain never goes away she wanted to commit suicide as the pain was so great. She did not know of my own personal pain, and I felt maybe God was showing me something. Not to say… Read more »
